Color Choices (Console & Armrest)

It is VERY VERY difficult to portray a correct color image via a computer screen!  Why?  Even the best color files will be distorted on screens, due to different screen resolutions, PC video cards, etc.

How do we solve this?  We have had great success by speaking to our customers and getting a general idea of what colors they may want.  Remember, you can pick a console color AND an armrest color.  We will ‘mock up’ these color choices on actual units, take photos of them, and send them to you.  It makes a LOT of difference in choosing the right color schemes!

Four pen / pencil openings are built into the front drink holder.  These openings also double as storage for sunglass / regular glasses.

FAA LEGAL! This console does not permanently attach to the airframe, and is NOT designed to do so. As a matter of fact, it does not need to be permanently attached! It is designed for a snug fit between the two front seats. This is considered a portable, pilot installed device. Portable, meaning it can easily be installed or removed between flights, with ease and without tools. Think of the console as similar to a hard-shelled pilot flight bag. The FAA studied previous renditions of a similar console many years ago. It is noted in the FAA safety letter to add the console to every preflight checklist! Check the console for proper placement, and ensure that in no way can the console interfere with flight controls, or the operation of any flight.

* A custom color can be applied if you like, but we will need a color sample before we send to powder-coat.  Custom colors can be applied for an additional $50.  Hundreds of colors are available.  Custom colors will add approximately 3-weeks to your shipment time.

Frequently asked questions
I own a flight school and/or I have a lot of cessnas. Do you offer a bulk discount?
Arrow

Yep! Call us when multiple units are needed. We will give you a discounted rate for a bulk, one-time order. Examples include flight schools with multiple Cessna’s, the Civil Air Patrol, etc.

What about shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, or even to a non-USA country / address?
Arrow

Yes, we will need to perform a custom freight quote for you. But we DO ship consoles around the globe.

Do you offer free shipping?
Arrow

Absolutely. Freight is factored into the price, and is free within the lower 48-USA states. We typically use UPS ground for all shipments.

Are the consoles made in the USA?
Arrow

Absolutely. All products are produced in our own manufacturing facility in Texas. Each console is then personally assembled by the owners of the company. We want 100% quality and we can assure you of this by keeping all operations ‘in house’. We have our hands on the consoles, throughout every step, all the way to placing it in the shipping box.

I want a custom color for my console and/or I want a custom armrest
Arrow

Do you have the need for an ultra-custom unit? We can powder-coat in custom colors. All we need is a sample of your special color. This customization adds about three-weeks to your shipping date, and costs an extra $50. If you want a special armrest covering / color? You will need to send us extra material from your custom interior, and we will use that to sew your armrest. Need a special color thread or pattern sewn into your armrest? Call us. We can do that, too.

Can the console be customized?
Arrow

Absolutely, using the RAM™ brand of accessories. A 1” RAM™ ball mount is recommended. After the installation of the ball mount, RAM™ offers a tremendous amount of options so that you can securely attach a cell phone, iPad, and / or many other electronic devices. The RAM™ system works fantastic with our console, and tremendously increases the comfort and usability of the console. RAM™ accessories are relatively inexpensive are readily available thru their website, or on Amazon.

Is this console legal with the FAA?
Arrow

Yes. It is noted in the FAA safety letter after that study, to add the console to every preflight checklist! Check the console for proper placement, and ensure that in no way can the console interfere with flight controls, or the operation of any flight. DO NOT PERMANENTLY ATTACH THE CONSOLE TO YOUR AIRFRAME.

Does the console have an effect of my weight and balance / CG?
Arrow

The console weighs very little, and is located roughly in middle of your main CG point of the aircraft. As such, the console should not adversely affect your aircraft / performance. However, if the console is weighted down with a lot of items, each pilot should check their specific weight and balance.

Do the consoles move around in the cockpit?
Arrow

No, the fit is designed to be snug between the front seats of the aircraft. We also install a piece of carpet tape to the bottom of each unit. Once you decide the optimum placement for your console, make note of this location. Lift the console up, remove the backing on the tape, and reinstall the console. This temporary tape prevents the unit from sliding fore and aft. In most cases, this isn’t even necessary. If used, the tape does NOT harm your carpet / floor material.

Why do I need to speak to Aircraft Consoles before ordering? Why can’t I just ‘checkout online’?
Arrow

These consoles are custom to each buyer, and are non-returnable. We briefly speak to each customer before purchase, to discuss the particular details of your aircraft. We want these to fit perfectly in your plane, and want to ensure that you are ordering the correct item.

Are the consoles returnable?
Arrow

No. Each console is custom built / shipped for each buyer / aircraft, and returns are NOT accepted. Please check the dimensions listed for each console before purchase. Make sure your aircraft has the required spacing.
